8.2 Understanding the Menus

There are five menus within the main AmTerm interface. Most of the options are quite straightforward, however this table will explain most of the options available:

This menu really just allows the user to dial and hangup in the same way as within the main GUI. "About AmTerm" and Quit can be found within this menu
When you are connected to a BBS or to another user (via two modems) you can, for example, initiate the transfer of files with the options in this menu
This menu allows you to paste/copy text to the window and save text from within the current window
If you are asked for a username or password whilst connected to a BBS you can send the information by using the options within this menu
This menu contains the options to launch the preferences GUI to alter current prefs, save current preferences (as a named file), save/load system list, resize or initialise the window and launch the MUI prefs for AmTerm which will allow you to customise the AmTerm window (especially the term.mcc which controls the screen - colours, fonts etc)
